Dr. Weil is misinformed on NA
DR WEIL:
"....the only available treatment to improve hand function is <Open> surgery"
While he does mention a "needle treatment" he then states that "the problem is likely to recur". Then he mentions partial (or Limited) fasciectomy and says "Dupuytren's can recur afterward but usually not as severely". What he doesn't apparently know is that Dr. Charles Eaton who has performed more NA *and* Limited fasciectomy that anyone on earth insists that NA will be sufficient for over 50% of new cases, so most people never need to undergo full Open Surgery.
John, my post has nothing to do with Potaba, but I can't let published misinformation remain uncorrected.

Re: Dr. Weil Comments on D' on his site
Randy H.,
Thanks for the clarification!
I don't personally know Dr. Weil, but knowing of him I think that he would be open to hearing this clarification also, if you feel so moved to send it.
How much does Dr. Eaton charge for an NA?
I am still interested in what people think of the Potaba idea?
John M.

Re: Dr. Weil Comments on D' on his site
John:
I have the highest respect for Dr. Weil.
In fact, I've read all of his books, except the Cook Book.
But, I must agree with Randy that Dr. Weil has missed the boat here by not talking about N.A.
I'm also interested in Dr. Weil's suggestion about Potaba. I've never heard about Potaba, & I wonder why it's a prescription drug if its a B-complex vitamin.

Re: Dr. Weil Comments on D' on his site
There are several comments about Potaba in this forum. The easiest way to locate them is to click on "search" (just below "Forum for Dupuytren e.V."), and then search for Potaba with the option "search in topics and answers" activated.

Re: Dr. Weil Comments on D' on his site
Potaba has been tried countless times over a period of decades, for Dupuytren's and Peyronie's. The overwhelming consensus of doctors and patients who have actually tried it is that it does not work. Nevertheless, it still continues to be mentioned as a treatment option.
