Exess vitamin C a factor in Dupuytren's

On the internet you can find many sites which state that excess vitamin C is linked with an increase in fibromas, which are the nodes of Dupuytren's. At one point I found a formal study online showing this link, but haven't been able to find it recently. I have certainly been guilty of taking too much. I have since stopped. So a couple of questions: 1) Why do sites for fibromas of the feet (Ledderhose) frequently mention the risks of too much Vitamin C, but it's never mentioned as a factor for Dupuytren's? 2) I'm curious about the long term after affects of someone who at some point took too much vitamin C. If you stop, would the rate of fibromas appearing eventually decrease or would it have done permanent damage to cells, such that you're at higher risk from here on out?

I'm not sure I've seen a formal link between Vitamin C and DD. Please post it when you find it again. People on forums have reported a connection, but that's anecdotal and hard to prove.

I myself still take a hefty dose when I get a cold or flu. Doesn't seem to affect my DD or the cold or the flu either!
