Re: pain

I saved this from www.peyroniesforum.net Thanks for the answer Wolfgang! These symptoms are not published widely. Its hard to know what may be DC or what may be arthritis. I'm sure there is some overlap. Since posting this, I have noticed nodules forming on the other (left, non-dominant) palm under the first finger. Thanks for this forum. I plan to "catch up" on this forum this week.

OK, ......ummmm....... here is the text I lost

Hi Liam,

I observed the same symptoms. Prior to growth of Dupuytren nodules/cords the PIP (middle) joint of the affected finger became thicker, inflammed, and hurt. True, it might have to do with arthritis but is seems to be fostered by the onset of Dupuytren. Not every Dupyutren patient has this kind of swelling but maybe if you have a tendency for both diseases, that's how it manifests itself.

TextPosted by Liam:

Prior to noticing the new growth (DC), I have noticed increased joint pain in my fingers and hands starting maybe a week and a half ago . There is also some increase in the size of the second joint in several fingers.

I am not overly concerned. I do find the timing of symptoms noteworthy. Maybe they will mean something to someone else. My bone doc said to get the RA blood test as a precaution. I will.

I changed the subject from "joint" pain. Someone will think my Peyronies Disease is hurting again. Either that or I burned myself smoking (Don't you just love euphemisms.)
