Another Question

Gary, err... I mean Sean, how is it you know so much about the income of hand surgeons and what procedures are a percentage of such?

Seems to me only someone with inside info (ie. either a hand surgeon or someone working for one) would be privy to that knowledge.

Folks looks like we've got another ringer here. Guess the downturn in the economy and so many going to Europe for NA has forced someone or some group to try to turn the DC afflicted against viable alternatives.

Sean-Gary

Maybe he doesn't even know who he is. Perhaps a product of split personality?

cost of surgery

I've had 2 surgeries and in both cases total billings, including therapy and followup, were a few thousand dollars, with insurance covering almost all of it. Jerry, how did you end up with bills totalling $24,000?

Surgery costs

Jerry,
Why don't you post the information on the forum? I would be interested also. I don't think your situation was the norm. I have never heard of any surgery for DC costing that much.

Needle Aponevrotomy

To Cyndi:

I hope your trip is successful concerning your NA procedure, and also, I hope you have a wonderful time. France is a delight.

To Gary/Sean:

I am disappointed in your transparent alias.

To all the other regular denizens of this forum:

I propose a new thread called "Vent" where personal grievances and discussions irrelevant to DD can be addressed. Most of us who frequent this forum are interested in two things: Further enlightenment about DD, and how best to handle our individual situations. Discussions in this particular thread should be germane to NA….period. Arguments enlighten no one.

Who is arguing?

Mike K,
First of all, I am not Gary. Secondly, I have spent the last few days reading as much as I could to get up to speed. Thirdly, I agree with much of what Gary said, since I was pegged as having similar ideas. I play handball, raquetball and tennis with many professional (including medical) people, for this I am immediately criticized for knowing what is going with surgeons. Actually, I think the handball was a cause for the developing of DC in my hands.
Fourthly, who is arguing? I was immediately attacked for even being on this forum and sounding like someone else. Why the attacks? What is the problem on a forum of expressing an opinion without the derogatory remarks? What is wrong with checking erroneous information delivered by people who obviously had a bad experience with surgery and are out to get the medical industry in the U.S.?

Oh Brother

Sean or Gary, whatever. Since posting as Sean you have been antagonistic and unkind to people on this board.

Why should anybody treat you with respect when you offer none to people who have given their time & assistance to others?

I think it's very suspicious that you know so much about the hand surgery business. You've also attempted to put words in other peoples mouths (mine as well). If indeed you are new to this topic (which I disbelieve), do a little more research and read the postings of those that have suffered from this disease.

If, as you stated in another post, believe that this type of board is only inhabited by malcontents, please provide concise proof that they are wrong. Documentation would go a long way, but I doubt you have any.

The direct testimonies of people that have suffered this disease and the resulting surgery carry more weight than all the invectives and insinuations you can muster.
