DD is not the cause for Shoulder problems, Elbow problems, Back problems, Re: all of the pains you have, and illness you have. DD ONLY EFFECTS THE HANDS, THE FEET, AND, IN SOME CASES THE PENIS. THAT IS IT !!! All other problems you have, are not about DD. If you think, you are not from Northern Europeon background...Check again. You may not know, your whole background. I am from Scot background, but from my resurch of my Whole family..I found out I am also Dutch, English... and a whole lot of other things. This Is a disease passed down through some ancestry of the Celtic background. Someone, in you family HAD it.. Or you would NOT HAVE IT. You just might not know who that was, but, someone had it, and , your children, or grandchildren are at risk for having it.

I disagree about the shoulders being unrelated. There have been many postings on this site about DD sufferers who have problems with the shoulders. I had two cases of frozen shoulder a few months before the fingers started to contract (on the side corresponding to each hand affected). My surgeon (not even knowing I had suffered with the shoulders), told me that this is a characteristic of the disease. I think your message was a little insensitive in tone, and unless you are a medical expert, I think you should respect the opinions of others. And why not allow others the comfort of using whatever oils, natural supplements they choose if it helps them?
