My husband has been dealing with this condition for over a year now and has had two surgeries. Our biggest mistake has been that we did not get more than one opinion and the first surgery was more harmful than helpful. By the time we saw the doctor who knew about the condition, he had scaring and nerve damage and it was harder to treat. We are still not sure of the results of the second surgery. All doctors we have seen so far have said that he will be bothered by this for the rest of his life.
