NA vs. Surgery
Phillis,
Have your husband get two or three medical opinions. I'm not too sure about the information your physician gave your husband. My opinion: Needle Aproneurotomy for Dupuytren's Contracture is the best procedure to date. Down the road Cordase injectible may be an improvement over surgery also. However, it is still in Phase III of research, then FDA approval is required. I have had the NA procedure. The results: GREAT!It is suggested that your husband send photos of his hand(s)/finger(s) along with a brief medical history to see if you are a good candidate for the NA procedure. If you like you may send photos to: Dr. William Bourland, Memphis, Tennessee or Dr. Charles Eaton, Jupiter, Florida.

Vilings
I really do not think that Vikings have anything to do with DC. I have none of the possible 'causes' except stress and using power tools. I know that I am not related to Vikings as we have a very complete family tree.
However, I am a firm believer that stress can trigger all manner of ailments/conditions and the outcome shows itself in a 'weaker' area - I am sure that our best hope is a genetic cure -
