Collagenase

This is the first I have heard of collagenase. I really like the idea. It might allow my local hand doctor to treat me. I think my insurance would cover it. Even if it lasted only one year it would be easy to retreat.

Collagenase treatments are still undergoing tests required for FDA approval and are available only through a few locations--Stoneybrook and Stanford most notably. As I understand it from my Orthopedist, the process involves multiple sessions of injecting collagenase until the fascia tissue ruptures--similar to NA (advantage: supposedly less risk; disadvantage: no telling when it will be approved and how long after that it will become generally available nor how costs will compare with NA).
