Recent Experience

I have been following the postings on this forum for 2 years and have read many of the arguments pro and con on different treatments. Last week I had NA performed on four fingers in Paris and in less than 2 hours and for about $500 I have restored my hands to between 95 and 100% of 180 degrees from contractions on 4 fingers on 2 hands that ranged between 120 and 90 degrees. Since there is no cure for the cause of the contractions, treatment is the only possibility and why not choose the quickest, painless and least expensive approach. The collogen calcification that causes the contractions will recur over a period of time and NA treatment performed early in the process is comparable to seeing a dental hygienist frequently. If you have the resources and time to go to Europe, go. The cost of the trip and treatment will be less than the cost of surgery.

NA

Could you please tell me how to go about making an appointment in Paris. Is English spoken at the doctor's? Is there a website? I intend to go there instead of having surgery here. Any info on when or if this procedure will ever be approved in the States? Thank you

Link to Walt~sq~s list of practitioners

I made an appointment by sending a letter with photos of my hands. then arranging an appointment by e-mail. If you
go to "Walt Stagner's Duputren Links" web site you will
find the links to details of other peoples' trips to Europe
for NA. Paris is an oft cited destination. Yes, most of the Doctors speak and write excellent English (and a few other languages, no doubt.) With air fare, hotel and treatment, I would estimate $1000.00-1500.00 US. The NA
procedure is $75-$180 depending on who and where. Some of
the Doctors (Rheumatologists, I believe) have peformed several thousand procedures over many years. They can tell
you the rate of complications; it is low. Read the threads.
