Soya lecithin
Thanks Stage One for the extra info on soya lecithin. Much appreciated. I shall continue to use it, as I do feel there has been some improvement. If I can stabilise my current situation, I shall be reasonably happy.
I just hope for everyone's sake that there can be more research into a long-term solution to our problem.
Best wishes to all

pain with DD vs CTS
Well guys, you know that GICO commercial - .... but I have some good news. Well that's me. I went to see Dr. Eaton. What a nice guy! His whole staff are terrific! Anyone that has DD should feel very comfortable going to him. I felt all confidence in him and if I ever do have to have NA I will not hesitate. But for now, he feels that it is CTS. I have to have some nerve tests to determine it. But have been wearing a velcro splint - 4 days and now just at night - and it has made an unbelievable difference. He did say that there is no pain with DD and if there is pain there are other factors involved. Anyway for now, I only have to weat the splint at night and take 100 mg of B6 every day. I should have asked him what the B6 is for but was so happy that it was not progression of the DD (I only have a little thickening in the palm below the fingers.) And he said I may never have any further problems with DD. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. So I guess for now that's it for me. I wish you all well. I for one am very encouraged that if my DD does progress, there is always Dr. E! Tonyia

pain with DD vs CTS
Just looked up B6 on the web and it helps maintian normal nerve function which makes sense why Dr. E prescribed it as CTS is an inflamation of the nerves caused by a restriction in the wrist. The pain I have in my knucles is arthritis (which I thought was a knucle pad that other on this forum have mentioned) which is pretty common at 57 and my mother had arthritis. Thanks for the headsup on the CTS surgery. Dr. E mentioned that he did the surgery through a small slit in the wrist, but I am glad to know that any surgery on the hand could exascerbate the DD.
