Survey

Hello all,
I wanted to conduct some sort of survey but noone seemed to be to bothered to check it for me.

There is a 2 questions i want to ask and if you could be so kind as to reply here ONLY with the answer that i need i would be really greatfull.

1. Are you left handed and have Dupuytrens?
2. Does your pinki finger reach the top crease on the ring finger?

If you can reply pls that woould be nice.

Lots of love ed

survey

I am right handed and have had a 45 Degree contraction of
my right Pinkie finger corrected by NA. Both my left and
right Pinkie finger extend to the Ring finger crease when
my hand is not "flexed." Upon flexion (fingers bend back
and away from the palmar surface 5-10 degrees) the Pinkies
are about 1-2 mm short of the crease. I have nodules and pits in my left hand, a chord in my right.

survey

In order for me to conduct a full survey i need more results.

From what i gather if your pnki finger does not reach the crease in your ring finger then it may be an indicator that you will later in life or have dupuytrens now.

But in order for me to complete this survey i also need to know what hand do you write with?

Becacause i think it may be common for left handed people to have it. but i need to use more statistics against this one.

Warm regards

Eddie

Right handed. Tip of pinkie 1/4" longer than crease.
Dups both hands. Think you're barking up the wrong tree.

treatment

Well survey is now finished.

I have concluded that my initial thoughts on the genetic breakdown on the cause of dupuytrens disease is not relevent to what i was implying.

What i have concluded to is that in many cases Dupuytrens is Bilateral. Effecting both hands. It further puzzeled me why in many cases that people with Dupuytrens had many things in common.

But as this is not really the place to be posting such details i would find it hard to ask.

I am left handed have dislexia and ADD. Yes it is mostly common to have ADD and dislexia when you are left handed but i further thought was it possible that there was another link to these cause of the disease Dupuytrens.

I would like to thank all of you who helped me in the survey and your information was not disgarded as incorrect or wrong.

Warm regards and thanks again Eddie.
