I am grateful for the many people on this forum who have taken the time to spread what they know about this strange disease. I was diagnosed some months ago with Dup.D in my left hand. I have not at this time developed any cords. However, I have two nodes in the palm of my left hand below the fourth finger. One of the nodules is very large and the other one small. Like many others, I also have great worries about my future with regard to the use of my hands. I am a pianist and a writer and composer. A part of my soul would be lost if I could no longer play the instrument I love.

Are there any known treatments regarding this disease at this early stage before cords form? Are shots of Cortizone effective? Does anyone know where to find a doctor who knows about Dup.D in the San Francisco Bay Area?
