    Does anyone know of plastic surgeon doing NA or looking at NA in Australia?
    I have had several operations to my hands and feet in Brisbane. The work has been done by an excellent surgeon and I have given him details of the Paris and Florida clinic proceedures. He is looking at this matertial but I'm not sure if he can be persuaded. He's worried about potential nerve damage. I'm looking for others to help me get a dedicated team going on finding an NA surgeon for Australia. Any helpers?

    If the doctor nibbles enough at your info, you can let him know that for an experienced hand surgeon it only takes about one week to get trained.

    my surgeon is a worldly type and a most interesting and engaging fellow. I've told him that he will be famous if he takes on NA. LOL

    I think Drs who want to perform NA should traing with Dr. Eaton, not the French Drs. They need to learn the Eaton method of needle aponeurotomy right off.

    "In 2003, the American hand surgeon Dr. Charles Eaton visited the Paris group and brought the procedure back to the United States. Already skilled in traditional Dupuytren's surgery, Dr. Eaton applied his knowledge and experience as a hand surgeon to refine and add to this technique, referred to as the Eaton Method of Needle Aponeurotomy."

    Any suggestions on hand exercises to relieve occasional cramping in my left hand that has DC in pinkie finger, about 30 degrees.

    Be careful about what you do--Eaton advises NOT trying to force the contracted fingers. One suggestion (which he suggests for post NA patients) is making a fist and extending the fingers four sets six times a day.

    Just came back from Florida after the second procedure on both hands...the cords grew back rapidly after the first, but my left hand remained in good shape except for the new cords in my palm..my right hand also straigthtened but who knows for how long...I feel this is still in the early stages even though in France it has been done for much longer...hopefully someday there will be something to stop the quick progression...I would still have the NA to the traditional surgery which we all agree on. Dr. Eaton and the gals that are with you are so happy when the results are good. I recommend to all NA if Dr.Eaton evaluates and feels he can help. I'm hoping the cords don't grow back...wouldn't mind once a year, but my first was in Sept. and back again in Oct...no answers with this disease...and good luck to all and hope some answers are forthcoming.

    		 Second Procedure

    I too have had two NA sessions with Dr. Eaton. The chords once again seem to be rapidly growing back. Each procedure resulted in a further reduction of the angle of contraction, but at some point the procedure becomes one of diminishing returns.

    I shall wait for my third session, but NA sure beats the only alternative (Finger surgery) at the present time.
    Hopefully there will be a better alternative for a procedure that is a CURE for Dupuytrens sometime in the future.

    "Diminishing returns" meaning that in spite of multiple NA procedures there is a limit to how straight you finger can become? What joint(s) is involved. PIP?
    How much improvement do you now have compared to when you started. Have you ever hand Open surgery?
