Sake of Accuracy

Imas,

I'm confirming with his office what I *thought* I heard while lying on my back with a XX gauge needle in my palm. Under just a little duress, I could have missed by a gauge or so.

cost

John, I had NA from Dr. Eaton on 2-11-05. It cost a total of $1200 for 2 fingers. I have a Blue Cross PPO which Eaton is not part of, so it was considered "out of network". I was reimbursed $300.

At the time there was about a month wait. He performed his 800th NA the day before mine.

Happy Camper

I had the NA Procedure done by Dr Eaton on May 5 . Two of us had appts that day; one of us was patient # 1000. I had two fingers done, one with a 45 degree bend, the other 20 degrees. The most pain was from the novacaine injection. Both fingers completed in one hour. It is now 30 hours later, numbness is gone, slight swelling remains. It was unnecessary to take any aspirin or anything else after the procedure. I couldn't be happier and I dont have to go through that awful traditional hand surgery.

Congratulations Ed from California. I too am from CA and visited Dr. Eaton in February. I am a very happy camper. My fingers are straight and no complications. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Sunny Florida if the DD returns.

Just a side note. When I had my NA done by Dr. Eaton on Feb 10th, he told me I was #800. Now, 3 months later he has done 200 more. By the way I see it, that is a huge vote of confidence for Dr. Eaton.

It Is Happening!

Now at 202, this thread has become the 4th most posted over all. So it's no wonder when newbies who arrive here, most having never been being told about NA by their doctors, they are *Suspiocious*. What on Earth could be going on here? This *is* the Internet after all.

But if you care to read all the posts going back to 2003, it's fairly obvious that this thread is for real. Frankly, however, I'm looking forward to NA being accepted by the society of CHS and someone good in LA & SF & SD being trained. Then us CA types can *drive* home with our bag of melting ice rather than *fly* home. Peggy and Ed: Wouldn't *that* be preferable? I say, give it about 2-3 years and we're there!

NA

I live in northern California. An hand doc who is well trained in NA in SF or LA is one of my fondest dreams, Randy.
