Why AP and not NA?

Why do you want to switch from pushing NA to AP?

AP for DC

Francis,

AP is short for Aponurotomy. NA is short for Needle Aponurotomy, thus the same thing. It is not pushing a differant procedure.

Dr. Eaton

Dear E.Wix,

Are you a medical doctor? Obviously NA requires training or else Dr. Eaton and Dr. Spacek would not have bothered to take the time to train specifically in NA.

AP / NA

If these are the same, why the sudden use of AP instead of NA after all this time ?

Patience

NA was pioneered in France and doctors who perform it have been trained for NA and are listed on the French Forum. Currently there is one doctor in the US (Dr. Eaton), and one doctor in Canada (Dr Spacek) who appear on that list.

Yes, we are all hungry for NA practitioners to be readily accessable in all cities right across North America, but.... personally.....I want to see credentials specifically for NA before I layed my hand down for the needle...as would my family doctor.

NA for DC

Frances,

No, I am not a medical doctor. I am a Ph.D. doctor.

AP AND NA - THE SAME THING

Eddie,

Using AP or NA is just a matter of choice. Note the other posts.

AP / NA

@ E. Wix
Allow me to disagree.
Second, it is confusing to introduce new names if not really necessary.
And, first, aponeurotomy is 'the removal of aponeuroses', not necessarily by using a needle. The different available methods of surgery can also be called aponeurotomies.
Strictly speaking, even "Needle Aponeurotomy" isn't correct, since the aponeurosis is not removed, only cut.
Personally I would think it is preferred to keep using NA, since this has been used for a long time.
Not important ? Ok, you may be right there.
