Travelled to Florida in 2004 and had Dr. Eaton perform NA on My right pinkie which had a PIP of approx. 80*. Procedure went off without a hitch and Dr. Eaton was able to get My pinkie to about 30*.

The contracture slowly returned to about 90* and I kept putting off the return trip to Florida primarily due to the travel expense. The finger finally started to really affect my daily life so I started planning for a return trip to Florida.

Well, I came back to this site and found that several other Doctors were now performing NA and that Doctor Bourland was a 5 hour trip away. I did some research and felt confident enough to schedule an appointment.

After sending My medical history info and talking to His Staff (which are great!!) a few times. Dr. Bourland called Me to discuss My condition and to review the procedure! This about blew Me away!! And after speaking to Dr. Bourland for about 15 minutes all the second guessing of whether I should just bite the bullet and go back to Florida disappeared.

My wife and I went down on the 8th to see Graceland and eat some Memphis BBQ. The NA was scheduled for the 10th.

Dr. Bourland said He has performed the procedure about 200 times and that He learned about it from a patient and had talked to Dr. Eaton before attempting it.

My PIP was at almost 90* and when I left it was around 35* and I think that with a more focused effort on My part this time to wear my splint I can get it even better. Dr. Bourland said the ligaments of the joint are tight and want to spring back whenever I stretch My finger out.

I don't want to get into comparison of the two because I think they are both excellent Physicans. I just thought I would offer My experience as an alternative to those that live closer to Memphis than Florida.

Dr. Bourland spent close to an hout sawing away at My cords casually talking as He tried to release My finger then spent
10 mintues going over the correct way to splint My finger.

He's a great guy.
