Collagen and Quinolone Antibiotics
Hello, I was wondering whether anyone here had had a quinolone antibiotic prior to noticing symptoms of Dupuytren's? It's known that quinolones can attack collagen.
I had Cipro and now I have numbness in the ring and pinky fingers of my left hand and often wake up with tingling or numb fingers or hands. A few weeks ago for a couple weeks or more, those two fingers and sometimes the other ones of that hand too, would spontaneously contract toward the palm. My neck is also in a lot of pain sometimes and very stiff.
But the neck pain and finger numbness and contracting do not seem to be at the same time so I don't think they are related. Thanks for any feedback.
If anyone here has had a quinolone antibiotic you might wish to go to www.fqresearch.org and see if any symptoms sound like yours??
