Dr Eatons Class is listed
Hi All,
Dr. Eaton class is listed on the ASSH website. It is entitled 'Management of Dupuytrens Contracture What's New and what is true' and can be found under 'Instructional Courses'. It's to be held Thursday September 7 4:30-6:pm. So there we have it. Go talk to all your Surgeons and tell them about it. This will give NA lots of exposure for sure. I hope there will be a transcript available of the presentation.
I've been away for a while so please forgive me if this is already posted.

Francis, you must have been haunting the ASSH web site! :) Congrats on getting the Scoop. Even Eaton's sight hasn't been update on this yet.
"Reality Check of outcomes and complications <from traditional OS>" Eaton cracks me up. He certainly is going straight at the traditionalists isn't he. Reality Check indeed.
Basically, the frozen block of misinformation about NA we have been battling here (though not lately), and that many have encountered form their CHS, is about to meet a Blow Torch. Dr. Gary Press has warned not to disregard the power of Tradition to withstand the actual Facts, but at the very least SusieQ's is going to be very busy updating with "The List" after September. Are you ready?
Wolfgang has got to be pleased that Seegenschmiedt has been invited to the party. I certainly am. Maybe we'll see radiotherapy available in the US as a bonus. Don't worry. CHS have plenty of *other* things to keep them busy as the total number of fasciectomies being performed begins to decline.

Hi Randy,
No hauntings here, just a lucky shot. Like everyone else I'm please to see all the big names listed. Presenting all the major treatment options it is a gentle challenge to the attitude that surgery is the only choice.
It's interesting that they chose to place it under the category of 'instructional course' rather then 'optional course'. I think it gives weight to the importance of the info to be presented which is even better.

Glad to see this post. I had also discovered Dr. Eaton's program on the ASSH website. I saw Dr. Denkler last Tuesday for treatment on a pinkie pip after prior surgeries. I asked him about the program and he said his portion of the presentation might be the historical part but not yet planned. He and Dr. Eaton will be meeting in July. It was good to hear that these two are friends so experience is shared for the benefit of those of us with this condition.
I will be making a separate post on my experience with Dr. Denkler which was 100% positive.

radiotherapy and ASSH
Randy, thank you for pointing out that radiotherapy will also be represented on the ASSH conference. This intro course will just be one of many and certainly not the focus of this conference but the group is impressive and if just another 10 or 20 US doctors accept NA and radiotherapy as means to treat Dupuytren, then this will be a major step forward. Let's cross fingers and congratulate Charles Eaton for this achievement!

Wolfgang just a little correction it was poster Graeme who first informed us of the radiotherapy and collagenase connection on Eaton's panel.
Graeme also pointedly pointed out the Eaton's ASSH topic of discussion "reality check on outcomes of traditional methods for Dups etc.."
