Kenalog
I had Kenalog injections, albeit at a lower dosage than Ketcham recommends. My nodule was reduced in size about 30% and softened noticeably, but hardened up again after a few months. And Kenalog didn't have any noticeable effect on the cord leading from the MCP joint to the PIP. My take is: results are modest.
Another route J Ann might consider is NA with Dr. Denkler. He feels it is unnecessary to wait until contracture before performing an NA, because enough tension to snap the cord can be generated by hyperextending the finger.
