has anyone experienced
REDUCTION of nodules on their feet with heat exposure?
I have D/C on both hands and have been to Dr Eaton . He did the NA procedue on both hands with great success.
However I also have nodules on BOTH feet. I've had these for at least 10 years on one foot and 5 on the other.
These got WORSE after I had SUGERY on one finger; that was BEFORE I knew about Dr. Eaton and NA unfortunately.
I've been taking hot tub soaks for 10/15 minutes every day now for 2 years and have noticed CONSIDERABLE recution of the size of my nodules on one foot- they are almost gone now on one foot; the other foot seems to have reduced size nodules now.
Am I dreaming or has anyone else experienced this reduction which I feel is due to HEAT ??
I do not take anything else for this condition.
I was wondering why this had an effect on the FEET and NOT on my hands though?
Appreciate comments and suggesitons. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

No I for one haven't heard of this method. Is it a coincidence or not? For instance have you changed your physical exercise - more of or less exercise, changed your diet, had a more calm existence, taken any other medication, lost weight, better shoes?
Do you fully immerse yourself, use salt cystals etc.?

Although I have had DC in my hands for some time, the contractures accelerated after I began taking glucosomine as a preventative. That is also when I first noticed nodules in my feet. I am a distance runner--which I have been doing quite a while (and continue to do) with no noticeable impact on either. However, once I discontinued the glucosomine, I have seen no further growth in the nodules on my feet. I will try heat soaking to see if it makes a difference--but meanwhile, I thought I should alert you to possible correlation with glucosomine.

Hi there to all ledderhose sufferers-
I immerse myself in the hot tub every day-
there is nothing in there I assume other than the usual stuff they put in public spas.
I stay no longer than 10/15 minutes every day
I do only walking as exercise and I wear the orthodic arch supports my podiatrist made for me about 25 years ago.
that's it.
AS for diet- It's been atrocious even tho I am a diabetic-I have to get things under control :>)- New Year's resolution ( again) !!
well if it is helping I shall continue- just thought I would spread the news in case others can benefit.
Have a happy new year my friends and fellow sufferers...
hopefully more and more doctors will come on board in all parts of the USA in 2005 !!!!
In the meantime I'm going to see Dr. Eaton again soon for the seond time just for one hand.

Hi Miriam,
I was diagnosed on my right hand and right foot today and have been surfing the net trying to find some information about this disease! At the doctor today while she was examining my foot I realized that the lump was much smaller than it had been in the past. I didn't think anything about it until I came across your listing. I installed a home spa about a year ago and use it every night for about 10 to 20 minutes.....and your right.... the lump on my hand has not increased in size, but the one on my foot has - or at least it sure looks like it has been reduced. Maybe there is a connection between the hot tub and the reduction in size. Who knows?
I would love for you to share any other insight with me...
