Something is Up

I noticed that our host BioS is tinkering with this web site. I had trouble getting in by using my shortcut and hand to go to http://www.biospecifics.com and go throgh their menue buttons. Also, notice that on their home page they are revamping things:

"The section below is currently under construction."

I don't think BioS has changed a single thing in their site in *years*. Something's up. They are on the move. We know they sold off a portion of their business and have stated they did so to raise funds to finish the Collagenase project. I know there are doubters among us that don't think they even want to cross the finish line. I am not among them. I'm hopeful.

Perhaps now we will get a moderator to end the craziness. One wonders, however, if on closer inspection they would continue to let the Forum be used to educate consumers on the *other* current noninvasive option to OS. Let's see what happens. Soon we'll see their new home page and see what's up.

This Forum

Should BioSpecifics _ever_ decide against hosting this forum, I will be more than happy to move the data (if allowed) and host this much needed conversation on my own website - with moderation.

I see they removed all that obsolete old junk, like the sections on investor information and press releases that haden't been updated since 2001. Maybe during their latest deal - selling off the topical collagenase business - someone spoke up and said, your web site is really pretty bad.

access

Occasionally and recently more frequently I have trouble accessing this forum. It may take very long to open it and sometimes, like yesterday, I couldn't open it at all. I have no idea whether this is typical or my specific problem, just wanted to mention it.

In any case, and specifically if troubles get more severe, our offer to move to the forum of the Dupuytren Society still stands. It should now be easy to find us on Google and our forum is managed and readily accessible.

But maybe the biospecifics forum is just overloaded by old messages and therefore increasingly difficult to access. Would it make sense to delete threads that haven't been added to for e.g. the last 1 or 2 years (and at the same time maybe delete the stupid ads as well)? Maybe someone has contacts at biospecifics and could arrange for that it we consider it a good idea.

Link to Eaton~sq~s Sight is here.

Here's an interesting discovery. Look on the BioS Home page under "Important Links". Down under "General Interest Links"
you will find a link to http://www.eatonhand.com/ which is Eaton's old site. From there choose "Dupuytrens" and there you are, learning about NA.

Either this link has been there a *long* time (before American NA), OR, it was added after Eaton's notoriety was created by his leadership with NA. Either way, I find it surprising that BioS would link to Eaton's NA sight. NA and Collagenase are potentially competing procedures doing the almost same thing with nearly identical results. As we've discussed, Collagenase has the *potential* to surpass NA's capabilities. Nevertheless, surprised to see the link. Fascinating.
