do finger cords always proceed to contracture?

If one has cords in one's fingers, does it inevitably proceed to contracture? I know that nodules and cords in the palm often (even usually) do not.

There is no cure

Randy, that URL 'curedupuytrens.com' is deceptive. There is no cure at present. NA merely treats a symptom.

cords

I have had nodes and cords in my hand for a long time. They itch and hurt at times but my fingers remain straight.

Nodules and cords

When You speak of cords do you mean from the nodule to the base of the palm. I have that, and a cord forming from the top of the nodule to the base of the fingers but dont have any going into the finger. Is that considered part of the cord of the palm or the fingers? I also have no contracture.

Best wishes to all

JD

Nodules

Greetings

Randy - I tried to go to the web site you listed www.cureDupuytrens.com and got an error on page. Is this site still there? Could be my spy/spam blockers.

Anyway - I have had a small nodule in my right hand for a couple of years now. On occasion it would itch, and be a bit painful. All of the sudden, seems almost overnight it has gotten bigger, and is quite painful. I'm afraid that eventually it will get into my fingers. My father just had surgery - he has it really bad.

I have just started reading about this (today) and looking into what I can do to decrease the chances of it getting any worse. Looks like not much? Any advise would be appreciated!

Chord/nodule progression

Cheryl

nobody has come up with a preventitive for increased nodule growth. Nature/DNA etc. will take it's course. You are born with the defective gene and it's characteristics dictate it's benigness or aggressiveness.
Try cortizone injections.

Chord/nodule progression

I can only speak for myself. In Sept. 2000 I traumatized my
right palm severely and my left palm less so. Gradually,
nodules appeared, then a chord to right little finger.
I had NA in Nov. 203 by Dr. Badois (99% correction.)
Left hand seems to have advanced 1-2%; right hand is starting to contract slowly after 3 years. I plan on retreatment for right hand in the next 6-12 months. Left
hand is relatively asymptomatic. (sensations, but not
painful, nor resticting: stage 0.) Meanwhile, Dr. Eaton has
become a viable option. I might consider going to Jupiter,
although J'aime Paris. (Politically/socially France may be
a harbinger of mature, somewhat stagnant, economies fixed
in the past while confronted with third world forces.)
However, I digress. When your finger contracts 30 degrees,
have NA by a Dr. Lermusiaux protege. Do it!
