Heading to Florida
I am a 47 year old male who has suffered with Dupuytren's Contracture for several years. The condition has gotten worse and more painful in my right hand as of late and I am in conversation with Dr. Eaton's office in Florida for the NA procedure. I would appreciate any advice, recommendations, etc... from anyone who has been there and done that. The NA procedure seems to make a great deal more sense in the early stages than hand surgery.
My condition primarily involves the three lower fingers on my right hand and has only moved beyond my first knuckle in each of the lower three fingers. I have about a 2" cord under my ring finger and my hand is beginning to cup. I think that it would not be so bad if I didn't have that hand on a computer mouse about 10 hours a day.
I also have 2 nodules in my left hand due to a staple gun accident about 15 months ago. The fingers are straight in that hand so far, but the nodules are growing.
Thanks for your input.
