Randy,
I'm splitting hairs here, but my local CHS gave me a verbal referral, of sorts. I visited him on Dr. Eaton's advice to have another nodule injection. He was impressed with the NA results and basically said if Eaton is doing this there must be something to it. On the other side of the coin he's still skeptical about the nerve damage issue.
Anyway, when I told him that Dr. Benhaim is now doing NA at UCLA, he said something to the effect, well there you go, you don't have to fly to Florida.

Tommy,
Splitting Hairs not at all. I'm most gladly corrected. Once it had been confirmed on this site over two years ago that an American CHS had embraced NA, it was only a matter of time until what seemed like an impenetrable wall of tradition would show sign of weakness.
My CHS at UCLA is more concerned with recurrence than nerve damage. He knows of Eaton's nerve damage record, impressive by any standard. I now believe that recurrence after NA Vs OS will be the standard by which NA is finally judged. Obviously I'm a big fan of NA, but the jury is still out on this one. Lack of Hard Evidence.
But now it seems more sure that the jury will eventually get the data it needs and NA will take it's proper place in treatment, whatever that turns out to be. Most of us believe that place will be highly *significant*.
Still, when a CHS says NA will do you no good, the question remains. How do they know? From hearsay, or personal experience. Big difference.
