Proactive Defense

Yep Michael. Wouldn't liberal injections of safety proven, Dups-dissolving Collegenase (or something even more refined) be just the ticket? At the first sign of a lump, Shoot that puppy!.....and keep 'em on the defensive.

That's why it's so maddening that he potential of Colegenase is not being explored. For me, NA is a stop gap (all be it effective) method of avoiding further OS, not the end all be all.

Meanwhile the first biochemical solution sits on the shelf for economic reasons. What would it be worth to many of us to have blown up the Dups Air Force before the planes could have gotten off the ground?

I hear $7,000.......now $10,000....Can I get a $12,000? (yeah, from me)

I'd like to believe this, Randy, but I don't know if it's really you. There are no tell tale signs...like *this*

Not Without Hope

Well, according to Dr. Denkler, Collegenase trials are definitely resuming in August - and it seems a given that it'll pass them.

There's also Kenalog and other cortisoids to consider, for those whose Dup's hasn't yet started to contract (I'm trying this myself). And apparently the white-coats are tinkering around with other potential treatments. And Dr. Hentz and others are going full bore at getting at the genetic basis of the disease, with the really amazing new genomics tools now available.

In short, the situation is not without hope - MML

A Meaningless Post

Thanks Mike, lets hope so! Jan, that saying came from an old movie about a dance contest called "They Shoot Puppies Don't They":-) And who care if it's me, as long as nothing *completely* stupid is said. The advantage of being Trolled once in a while is that you can later disavow something you said earlier in ignorance ;-)

More info please

Michael (or anyone for that matter),
I would sure like to know more about the collegenase trials that are about to resume in August. I read here in another post that they were two years off. How long will the trials run, and when could we expect collegenase to be approved?

Also, I'm curious about kenalog and the corticosoids. Eaton gave me one shot of cortisone after he did NA but said nothing about further injections? And when is it appropriate to use kenalog?

You asked for it.....we got it!
