NA Finger~sq~s Memory

I have Dupuytrens in my hands and on the bottom of my feet. The hand problem in in both hands. The left has two fingers (little finger and one adjacent)curled about 40 degrees from verticle and a large lump formed at the base if the little finger. The right has two fingers effected. The bird finger and the one left of it.It also has a cord that runs from the base of the hand right up into the bird finger. The knuckle is swollen. I had surgery to correct the curling in the right hand. The finger that was corrected seems to be holding its own (after four years), but soon after it was healed, the finger next to it started curling. It is about about 60 degrees, but it curls above the knuckle.

I also have linear scleroderma on my farhead. There are some signs that I also had some scleroderma involvement in the soft tissue between my thumb and forfinger.

I have nodules along the big toe tendons on both feet. But they did not progress to any discomfort or restriction

Since both of these diseases appear to involve the bodies ability to manage cologen production (spelling?) I wonder if there is an underlying cause that expresses itself in different ways. Does anyone else know of cases where both scleroderma and Dupuytren's disease show up in the same patient. In my case I had linear scleroderma as a child with reoccurance in my late fifties and developed Dupuytrens beginning in my early fifties. I currently have both linera scleroderma and Dupuytrens active.
