NA vs. Surgery / Recovery

So my dad & I both have DD - not uncommon. He had surgery about 12 years ago (before I learned about NA) and had pretty satisfactory results. I had NA about 3 years ago, and was equally satisfied. Now, he has to do it again & I tried mightily to get him to use NA, to no avail. Part of it is that he has to correct carpal tunnel as well, which (according to his doctor) is best done surgically.

Anyway, part of the recovery is supposed to be hastened by using baby circumcized skin on his palm as a graft. Has anyone heard of that, or had experience? Thanks.

Apligraf

Apligraf® is also unique in that it was the first to employ live cells from someone other than the patient. The cells come from skin saved from circumcision and subsequently grown in the laboratory. The foreskin cells are mixed with a connective tissue protein derived from cow tendons ("type I bovine collagen").

Google Apligraf

surgery

Surgery is a snap! Most people don't have much pain. I was driving after a couple of days. Do your physical therapy (it is very important, even if you do it yourself). Keep hand moist (24/7) with hand lotion after surgery and ask a lot of questions. For most people surgery is a better choice that NA.

Here We Go Again

Too Rich. Someone doing a Parody of Sean doing Sean within a thread of The Forum doing a parody of it's most wacky self!

Do a search on 'Apligra"......Nada. I guess it's too obscure ;-)

And Sean would never say "most people" because "most people" with this disease have never had the opportunity to even consider having NA.

Do your own off site research people. Check the websites of the MD'd doing NA listed here.

No, Bruce. What more can you tell us?
