swollen ankle
Hi, I had a succesful NA done on my right hand by Dr.Badois last year. Unfortunately he doesnt do feet. I have plantar fibromatosis on both feet, which havent bothered me too much but 3wks ago I got out of bed and couldnt put any pressure on my right foot without severe pain in the bottom of my heel. I hobbled around for a couple of days, then found my ankle had swollen right up on the inside and there was a lot of pain in my lower let and the RHS of my foot. The doc gave me some pain killing gel to rub on and after 3wks its gone down a bit but now the top of my foot is swollen and theres a hard nodule there too as well as a sort of soft spongey lump. I dont know whether to walk about or sit about with my foot elevated. Another thing, my feet are always so cold. Has anyone else had any of these symptoms?

hand surgery
i can recommend using orthotics for foot pain with DD--ask your foot surgeon to write a prescription for the orthotic.it has really helped me.my surgeon says absolutely do not have surgery for this, as it will make the condition progress rapidly.hope this helps. i'm new to this site, and so glad to have found it. about to have 3rd hand surgery-wish me luck!

Dee, feet
Hi, Dee. I also had NA by Dr, Badois with excellent results for a chord in my hand. I also have beginning Plantar Fibromatosis (Ledderhose Disease.) While DR. Badois may or may not treat feet (PF/LD) he certainly is acquainted with DR. Lermusiaux, who does, at L'Hopital Lariboisiere in Paris. Please consider contacting either or both about NA and cortisone injections. I suspect that Dr. BAdois will suggest a consult with Dr. Lermusiaux who reports improvements with that appraoch (smaller nodules, less pain.) My point is: an alternaive to "foot surgery" exists; it is comparable to NA for Palmar Fibromatosis treatment (NA.) Check it out. Best wishes. Stage One (and holding)
