UK lack of interest
I have been looking into getting this treatment in the UK for a while now, and all I can say is I have come up against a brick wall. The British Society of Hand Surgeons did not want to know. My local PCT was incredibly ignorant about the procedure and yet they tell me this has been available for years on the NHS! To this I say, why was I not informed before undergoing surgery?
Also, nobody in the UK has deemed it necessary to go to France for training. British (medical) arrogance at its worst I would say. If Dr Eaton thought it necessary to go to France then why wouldn't our surgeons?
What an absolute disgrace...

I've experienced much the same as you here in the UK. I asked my local PCT why the NA procedure is not available, even though the 'NICE' report endorsed it as a safe, workable treatment, their emailed reply said they had been using this procedure for years.
But not once in all my discussions with doctors and consultants was there any suggestion of an alternative option to sugery, in fact the conversation turned to the need for amputation of the fingers if contractures re-occurred after a couple of sessions of sugery! - But thanks to sites like this I eventually went to Paris for NA a few weeks ago which was a great success.
To help raise awareness for this procedure, on my return, I wrote a letter to my surgeon explaining what I'd done and offered to go in to show him the result....... no reply so far.
