Thank you for the information. I am not sure about the best avenue for the new fibroma. How does one tell if the disease is "in progression"? I discovered new nodules about 4 months ago. I may try some of the neuropathy meds if this pain continues much longer.

That was, and is, a popular question on this Forum from time to time. "How does one know if the disease is in progression?" I think the disease is always progressing; it's a progressive disease. But that progression can be very slow, hardly noticeable. That has been the case for me, until now, for the past 3 years. I have met several people that didn't even know they had the disease because of lack of symptoms, pain, and slow progression. But, with others, like myself that had rapid onset of the disease, along with symptoms, it was easy to tell. Multiple growths over about 9 months time, itching in my hands and arches, nerve tingling, even arthritis type symptoms, hard to miss. In some ways, being so symptomatic, though certainly no fun, made it easier to pull the trigger and try the RT. Something I probably would not have done had I not been in so much pain or afraid to let it run its course. Along with the hope of stopping progression and symptoms, I did not want to eventually see my fingers go into contraction. RT in early progressive stage offered the best hope of preventing contracture from all I read and understood.
My doctor did not guarantee painful progression would not return. But that sometimes treating the worst extremity can stop painful and rapid progression in all extremities. And, it did, for almost 3 years. I believe the less RT the better, so if one extremity at a time works, with the hope, always, that it may stop everything for who knows how long I think that's the way to go.
I have read of others on the Forum where the doctor has treated everything at once. Appears some have done quite well with that approach too.
