Radiation treatment in Australia

Thanks to Newman for providing some answers in another thread entitled 'RT after surgery'.

I realised that as a new member, I should have posed the question separately to facilitate others finding answers

So here's the link.

To summarise, Newman has provided me with his experience with Dr Borg in Adelaide who has listed his name on this website .

If I have any luck finding any more RT specialists with an interest in LD (or DD) in Australia, I'll share this information to help others with their journey

First Assessment is essental for Radiation Therapy

Would You consider to come to Germany for a first assessment ?

In my case it was essential to have a physician available who overlooked
more than 10 years of experience, who has seen more then 200 feet and
the respective disease records. Certainly imaging tools have improved,
but palpatory skills, knowledge of treatment consequences and follow-up
which can be done via Internet are essential for your future life. Usually
radiation therapy can be done only once - so do it properly !

Good luck with your treatment, Larry

Re: Radiation treatment in Australia

Hi Larry
Thanks for your thoughts.

I am considering a trip to Germany, however, because of the huge expense due to the long distance travel, I think it's wise to first check out my options closer to home. I thought if I don't find anyone that approximates Prof Seegenschmiedt's protocol, I'll consider traveling.

I agree my health is EVERYTHING and I have to be grateful that even though it's a big investment, I can afford to stretch my budget to cover it.

I'll keep you posted if I end up taking the German treatment.
