Weren't you having some problems after your NA? Did everything work out eventually? I just read your post on another thread about your hand therapy. I loved having therapy after my surgery. I, too, saw a certified hand therapist. So much of what we did felt so good on my hands. My surgery was a huge failure and I went into a severe flare. Now my right hand is in very bad shape with only my index finger working. My left hand is progressing rapidly and it is losing function, too.

Anyway, I was just wondering how you were doing now.

I am so sorry to read that the NA procedures were not successful for you. Trust me, I do understand how incredibly frustrating it is to go through all of that only to have things be worse. Can I ask why you think it was the surgeon? Do you feel he didn't do the procedure adequately?

Are you going to seek treatment for the LD? I didn't think there was much you can do. Radiation? I'm sorry you are dealing with LD now, too.

I did hand therapy for four months, three times a week. When January rolled around I stopped because my insurance deductible started over and it wasn't helping anyway.

All of the fingers on my right hand are now affected. The index isn't contracting down but is starting to pull toward the thumb. One of the fingers operated on was my pinky. In February it was measuring 80 degrees (at the PIP). In March it was 95 degrees. Today it is 110 degrees. It was 0 degrees in November. Sigh. All of the fingers are going down at a rapid pace. Since surgery I have no been able to make a fist with that hand and that is worse than the contractures.

I do think I wil try NA in my left hand, though. I really wish you had gotten relief from your NA. What do you think you'll do next?
