Beyond frustrated and Self diagnosing

Morning !
Reading extensively for the last 3 days when an onset of WTH has happened to my hand over the last 2 days... I’m thinkin- we are as 1! Now to get a surgeon to listen!
I had carpal tunnel surgery AND released my Trigger Thumb (from years of waitressing) September of COVID. Thinking I would heal and COVID would be gone and myself back to work! Nope- Wrong !!!!
I will include photos from 1 day, 1 week after surgery and what popped up in the last 3 days!
I’m so angry I wish I never would have had the surgery.. my surgeon is fired. Now these nodes came to me like a ship in the night, and forgot to stop and explain what THIS could be ! Geesh

My surgeon told me his part of the work was done, and referred me to hand specialist to deal with my Arthritis in my wrist to take that bone out and put a round plastic one in its place with 3 months of heal time!
Nope ! Can’t make me. So I thought!

Anyone have input in Florida or Indiana ? Thanks for letting me rant !

Wishing all a speedy recovery and answers 🤗
Dawn

Re: Beyond frustrated and Self diagnosing

Hi Dawn

So sorry to hear your story, including the other thread/post you created.

It seems like you have a few things going on with your hands, following the carpal tunnel surgery, and unfortunately, trauma including surgery to the hand/wrist can be the start of Dupuytren's (DD).

But, it's not clear if you have a confirmed diagnosis or the stage you are at. You do need a different, better, doctor or hand specialist to advise the next steps. Your hand probably needs further recovery and healing, but if you do have early stage active progressing DD then RT may be the best option.

We list some doctors in Florida https://www.dupuytren-online.info/NA_list_North_America.html on our treatment pages, including for RT https://www.dupuytren-online.info/radiotherapy_clinics.html and also this thread may be helpful too https://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_...y-0_2275.html#1.

Best wishes SB
