Low dose naltrexone, cbd, progesterone

For anyone who has used any of these, did you find them to make your DD or LD better or worse?

No evidence or study data to support using any of the medications listed. I would never use anything on my feet . Have huge nodules on both arches running from toe to heel. No surgery or other procedures used and never will.
My best advice is to wear shoes with soft supporting arches and as long as you have no pressure points on these nodes you will have very little pain. Using mindfulness is essential to daily routines. Have had these on feet and hands for over 30 years. Still moving still going hasn’t stopped me in the least. Adaptation and years of using common sense sustainable aides to take advantage of small milestones daily.

Oh I'm definitely not taking these medications in hopes of them helping my DD or ld, but I am taking them for other reasons and just want to make sure they aren't making it worse. This post makes me feel better, at least in regards to the ln. It's hard for me to find good shoe inserts because I have a high arch, and it seems when I put inserts in it pushes even more on the fibroma.

Use as stated in above response a soft insole which means a foam arch only. Cut outs around nodes if needed.
Or contact a specialist who makes foot orthosis which are custom inserts that help align your foot and ankle, aid with position and movement, and can be a preventative step in managing LD. Find a shoe prothesis specialist who works with shoe and arch supports , makes custom fittings for your special needs. These special insole’s made to fit by rx from your doctor will enable you to walk with no pressure on your arches.

Re: Low dose naltrexone, cbd, progesterone

I take LDN for inflammation, and progesterone as part of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, starting 7 years after menop. Over the past year I've developed ledderhose disease which has not responded to verapamil and 3 injection series of hyaaulorinidase over a period of 6 months. More are forming in the right foot along with chord development, and now one starting in the left. I am coming to believe that the hormone therapy plus many hours on my feet in the garden during the pandemic have contributed to this. Other women note disease development after menopause. Something about hormones and women...

Re: Low dose naltrexone, cbd, progesterone

Hi cvilleroby, a link between menopause and Ledderhose is not confirmed but that doesn't exclude there is one. It is difficult to ürove; Dupuytren and Ledderhose are both typically diseases of older people. and so is menopause for women. The conincidence might just be by chance. But anyway, for Ledderhose you might consider radiotherapy. According to a patient survey radiotherapy is fairly effective for Ledderhose https://www.dupuytren-online.info/patient_survey.html .

Re: Low dose naltrexone, cbd, progesterone

I first had Dupuytren’s in hands from yearly power washing and started in my 40’s and Ledderhose in feet due to small injuries in arches and plantar fasciitis . it’s been a long journey. 30 years later… Nodes in both my feet started with small bleeds from injury to arch . These injuries formed tiny cysts and later become larger and larger. I have not done anything except try injections which did nada. Surgery in my hands did not help at all.

I now wear rocker shoes and other shoes with appropriate arches and cushions to achieve a good balance and walking gate. Keep those feet movin or they get stiff. As osteoarthritis become another issue in joints and ankle and toe injuries. Some noded are now the size of walnuts. Standing in one area is a no no for long periods. No medication . I use hot wax treatments at home on feet and hands.

I also use thick cushions on hard floors and use bar chairs at counters for long term issues in the kitchen. Keep movin , stretch feet and rest. Know your limitations and continue with daily routines with adjustment as needed. Never over do. 30 years later still have nodes in hands and feet and still functional.

By the way I have 5 acres a huge beautiful garden and horses. I’m still active and within my limitations.
