Curious about trigger finger

I not only have dupuytrens but I also have trigger finger only in left hand my poor thumb pops and cracks and sticks oh so painful. I am currently soaking it several times a day and massaging it. I wanted to know if anyone else has both Trigger and DD and if this is connected somehow as well to Rheumatoid Arthritis ??? Thanks for your input in advance ... Just Curious....

Re: Curious about trigger finger

I have DD and Ledderhose. Years ago a had trigger finger in my right thumb, it was clicking and hurting and I scheduled surgery. The doctor gave me a cortisone shot while I was waiting for the surgery and a week before surgery the clicking stopped by itself. The trigger finger never came back.

I hope it does go away on its own.Do you have Rheumatoid arthritis as well my knucles get sore and swollen sometimes. Just Curious this disease is just so weird and unpredictable on symptoms and everything. Thanks for your feed back.

I have trigger in both my hands on my ring finger. I don't think it is connected to RA or Dupuytren's particularly - although I know trigger tends to be more common in people whose soft tissues can get inflamed - gout, diabetes, and the like - which may relate to RA.
