Dr. Froimson in Ohio

I scheduled an appointment to see if I am a candidate for NA on my right hand and was wondering anyone has had treatments from Dr. Froimson in Ohio?

Thanks for responses,

Tony

Re: Dr. Froimson in Ohio

I'm interested in what you think of him. Glad someone in the Great Lakes area is finally doing this. I had to make the 8 hr + trip to Memphis to Dr. Bourland this past January for NA.

Re: Dr. Froimson in Ohio

I met with Dr. Froimson on October 10th for an evaluation. He determined that I have a 40 D contracture of the MCP of the pinkie finger on my right hand and a 20 D of the ring finger and would be a good candidate for an NA procedure.
The procedure was successfully done on October 26th. Even with all the literature and posts that I had read on this procedure I was still amazed at it's simplicity. Within 30 minutes of entering the office I could now straighten my hand.

Dr. Froimson said he had become intrested in this treatment a year ago and had spent a lot of time studying the literature and had observed Dr. Eaton performing it. He has alread performed 12 successful NA produres. I found Dr. Froimson to be very professional, he took the time to answer any questions or concerns that I might have and was very gentle during the procedure.

Last September I went to my family doctor to have him check the progression of my Dupuytren's, I also took along a copy of the NA procedure to ask if he was familiar with it and if he was aware of anyone that was performing it. We actually got into an argument over having anything done to my hands. He admonished me that any procedure to my hands would only make the desease worse and that I should wait until it adverly effected my ability to function.

Re: Dr. Froimson in Ohio

To date the reports on the professionally and bedside manor of those embracing NA have all be exemplary. My guess is that those willing to think and consider something "outside the box" are also those who are just a little more concerned about their patients. NA is not something you would get involved in for you own glory. Too much flack. And why rock the traditional boat?

Re: Dr. Froimson in Ohio

Dr. Froimson is at the Cleveland Clinic, a very well-regarded institution. So it is very good news that he has begun to treat Dupuytren's with NA.
