New Website for UK Dupuytrens

Hi I have updated our UK website at www.dupuytrens.co.uk

This should now give more info on NA and other therapies for UK patients. We also give contact details and how to enquire about treatment.

We have also included our consent forms and advice sheets.

Best Wishes

Chris

New Website for UK Dupuytrens

Chris:

I will advise Wolfgang that a live link from this site to yours would be helpful. Any staunch NA advocate like myself has got to *love* your content:

<<<We see needle aponeurotomy as probably the best first line treatment for dupuytrens disease available at present. The combination of speed of treatment allied to early return to work and minimal risk of complications makes it ideal as a first stage.

If patients develop a recurrence there is nothing to stop further needle aponeurotomy being performed or standard surgery. There is no evidence that fasciectomy is harder after needle aponeurotmy than in normal dupuytrens tissue.>>

Randy:

Has BioSpecifics sufficiently cleaned up its site so that we should have a hotlink to that site too?

Re: New Website for UK Dupuytrens

Irrespective of BioS' efforts their forum became a "spam only" site. BioS has raised the bar to post something so much that normal users don't post anymore while spammers, experienced programmers as they obviously are, don't seem to have any problem to continue dumping their trash.

Chris Bainbridge's site is already included in our list of NA sites: http://www.dupuytren-online.info/needle_aponeurotomy.html

Thanks for the update.

I'm sure that you & Randy will make the correct decision about what sites we should link to.

Re: New Website for UK Dupuytrens

Our web site actually has a link to the BioS forum: http://www.dupuytren-online.info/forum.html including a caveat because of the spam. The BioS forum doesn't have a search function and the good posts, though probably still there, are buried deeply under a mountain of spam. That's why we archived the old BioS posts here too.

Any suggestions of links to good web sites are very welcome! And vice versa, if you can convince other web sites to link to our web site that's also very welcome!

Hi Dr Bainbridge,

Your website looks great. What are the procedures for non-Uk residents wanting to seek treatment but are not covered under your healthcare system?

Hi Annabelle

I think the best thing to do is go to the contacts page on the website and ask your question that way. I'm not sure that Mr Bainbridge visits this site very often?
