Phase II status

I'm confused by the information on that site, I thought the Phase II trial were completed quite a while ago. I think maybe they were, and the web page is in error. Or maybe they're doing another Phase II trial before beginning Phase III?

Phase II status

I've been confused by it as well. Some of the things I've read seem to imply Phase II is done, but I think they're just saying that Phase II results (so far) have been encouraging. Since it's a ".gov" site, presumably ClinicalTrials.gov is accurate. It also has a note saying it was updated fairly recently (May, I think).

info

I've been thinking about buying a few shares of BSTC stock as a way of getting some information about what's really going on.

info

There is a fair amount of info from this link on their site:

Investor's Digest: http://www.globalprovince.com/BSTC.htm

Do "Edit... Find" with dupuytren to step through all the references on the page.

A 5/24/01 press release does say that the Phase II trials have been successfully completed and that they're preparing a report for the FDA.

Curiously, though, there's a 9/14/2000 press release that says: "BioSpecifics reports that a Phase II trial has been completed for an injectable Collagenase enzyme, Cordase, for Dupuytren's disease." So, what happened with the Phase II trials in the 1.5 years between these press releases?

There's also a 4/28/2000 press release that talks about completing a Phase II trial. Sounds like there are multiple "trials" and they toot their horn every time one is completed, without saying anything about how many more are not complete. Cute.

Phase 111

Check the graph of BSTC stock over the last few years and it's pretty obvious they have some disappointed investors. This can lead to fluffy press releases about non-events - maybe that's what's happened here. But recently their stock has taken a hop upward so they might feel freer to release some solid information.

I guess we can speculate endlessly but without some word from BSTC, we don't have much to go on. It might be that more is discoverable from the FDA but only with considerable effort.
