Doing nothing so far
Doing nothing is fine until it starts preventing you from doing things you need to do. If there is no pain at this time, why have surgery? Hopefully, you can wait until the collagenase injections are available. You never know when DC will start contracting at a rapid rate, so that is something to watch.
Good luck

DD
My right hand has had nodules and prominant bands for 12 years now. My fingers are all straight. There is no sign of bending. I still pass the table test. I have no idea what the future holds for this hand. I consider myself lucky to have such a mild case of DD.

Surgery
I just had surgery done, 2 weeks ago, on my right hand. Pinkie and ring fingers Combined total of 39 stitches and 4 hrs on the operating table. Advanced state of contracture in these fingers. Both hands have nodules presant and getting larger by the year. I waited 4 years to finally decide to have the surgery to correct a deteriorating condition (in ways I wish I would've had surgery sooner). The fingers/hand is still semi swollen and stiff but already I have a better range of movement/flatness and use of these two fingers and right hand. Luckily I'm left handed so the impact so far isn't so bad. But, my left hand is going to need the same treatment in the next year or two. So far, so good. Just wished to tell other sufferers what happened to me and, in my case at least, surgery seems to have corrected the problem.
