Dupuytren~sq~s

I was told earlier this month that I have Dupuytren's. I have had this condition on my right hand for quite some time just didn't know what it was. I was told by the first Dr. I saw that he had never seen it so bad that a person was still able to open the hand. I am grateful for that. I also have it on left hand now which is progressing much faster then the right hand did and also have it on left foot which is why went to Dr.'s to find out what was happening. I have been wondering what happens with the feet. Do the toes become involved as happens with the fingers on the hand?

My doctor definately did not recommend surgery for much the same reasons I see listed on this forum. The main one being that for some reason it always seems to come back and in most cases worse then before. Thank you for any input anyone may have about the feet.

Non-Surgical Cure ?

Hope you can help!

I’m new to the Dupuytren's Forum, but not to Dupuytren's that showed up about 10 years ago. Had surgery on my left hand 2 years ago but Dupuytren's is now back in the L hand worse than ever. So I know from experience surgery is only a stopgap.

I know about the French Needle so I am very interested in info about non-surgical cures. Question:

1) Are there any legit non-surgical cures? Who and where?
2) Is the SUNY Stony Brook cure near going public? Any info on the status?
3) Are there any doctors (or anyone else) doing injections? Who and where?

Please help with any info you have. I don’t want any more surgery!

Thanks Very Much!

NA

Great news Beason! NA is available coast to coast now. Check the posting. No matter where you live in the USA you may find a hand doc who will do NA fairly close. Remember....try NA before you consider an hand operation.
