Dupuytren Treatment

Wow! Where did you find out about that?

It certainly looks interesting. The needle-less injection technique sounds great, but my questions are - what are "Procaine" and "Traumeel", and who has been using them to treat DC?

Dupuytren Treatment

I am fifty years old, and I am with Dupuytrens disease in the right hand. The disease is in the stage 1, beginning. My Doctor tell me that there are nothing to do, just wait to the time, and, when in the stage 2 or 3, the surgical intervention is indicated. I am filing some pain when I have try to open the hand by complete. So, I am looking for any treatment to stop the Dupuytren to grow and to interrupt the evolution up to the stage 2.

Does anybody know any kind of treatment?

I do not know of anything that stops the progression. Vitamin E has been prescribed for many years, but scientific support is very weak. Recently some research has suggested that acetyl l-carnitine may be effective.

Marcio,

You have he name of an old Latin American friend from high school. Unfortunately nothing as yet has proven to be the Magic Bullet in impairing the progress of this disease. The most significant advancement we have as of late is the advent of NA, a minimally invasive treatment to be tried before succumbing to traditional invasive surgery. Search this site for more info. Having had the usual surgery, I'd recommend the plane ride to Florida. My experience with the traditional ride was turbulent.
