Lump in Palm

I don't know what to do (besides go see a Dr.!) I have this sometimes painful lump of something on the inside of my palm. I was doing some searching and found this website. And from what I've read so far this disease is progressive. It's been there for over a month, and has shown no signs of going away, only getting slightly bigger, and slightly more painful. It seems like it's a little harder than it was when it first began. For any of you did it start out like this?

Reply to help

That is just how our disease seems to start. That is what happened to me and I watched it and watched it, and finally went to a place called the Hand Center, thinking they would know. I honestly thought it was a cyst and would have to be drained. Well that was not the diagnosis and here I am about 2 months later. I am using a local spa for massage therapy and I really think it helps, but there are a lot more knowledgable people on this site that can tell you lots more than I can. I have no contracture yet.
Read up on this and learn as much as you can. I have found the medical profession isn't very supportive.
Good luck.

Dupuytrens

So, does this mean it's going to progress and go into my other hand and my feet? Now granted I haven't gone to the Dr yet to have it diagnosed. I'm waiting because from what I read there really isn't anything I can do. It's gonna come when it comes, if thats what it is.

Mine is the same round lump in right hand growing daily with dent an inch below ring and pinkies, aches sometimes real deep, not constantly.some puffynessbeloe index finger in palm left hand has no lump nor dimple but pulling tendons felt when rubbing center palm.
Grandfather may have had it as his hand were drawn into the palms quite grotesquely and the vets hospital cut the tendons to release the hand so he could eat in the 1960's.
