Elbow surgery, CTS, & Dupuytren~sq~s

I had tennis elbow surgery 5 months ago that caused a reaction in my wrist and hand. Carpal Tunnel started with therapy after elbow surgery. Dupuytren's developed between my pointer finger and thumb three months after surgery. The Dupuytren's is rapidly drawing my thumb and pointer finger together. Has anyone experienced the Dupuytrens between the thumb and pointer finger and provide some information?

Contraction between thumb and pointer finger

Yes I have contraction between my thumb and pointer finger. In fact I should be having an operation on this within a couple of weeks (my third, the first two on my little finger). This form has been even more agressive than the other. But it seems more desperate as I have begun to have difficulty getting my hand around even a moderate sized glass etc.

Trauma

SURGERY BEGETS SURGERY, MY FRIEND...With each operation your hand will be getting worse due to the inflicted trauma of the procedure.

I wish you good luck.

DD

I have recently been diagnosed with 'DD'
I am 56 years old. In my occupation I write a great amount. I feel I am in the early stages of the disease and was wondering if anybody out there knows of any exercise or otherwise I might do to curb the progression of the disease.

Waiting in the UK

You can avoid waiting on the NHS by going privately. Mr H Belcher of East Ginstead Hospital takes private patients. Although I pay via BUPA I've noticed that the cost is actually not that severe.

DP between thumb and pointer

Yes, I have this too. I showed it to my surgeon in November last year and he wasn't surprised. He has a large experience in DP and must have seen it before.

DD

I've just been diagnosed with this disease. I'm also a 21 yr insulin dependant diabetic on a pump. I need to know everything I can to help stop the fears and help regain some courage to look forward. I type for a living and need my hands to make a living. I also need my hands to be able to help myself with my diabetes..the pump. I know I can get a nurse in to help with the pump but, I need to know how long I have before my hand closes. I have constriction starting between the thumb and pointer finger. I also have a lot of pain in the palm of my hand. I have been using a chineese metal ball to keep the fingers flexable and to keep the forarm tendons stretched. Is there anyone out there that can tell me any exercises to do or sites to go to for stretching help not information on the disease. I have read enough to scare myself so have stopped. I was told my diabetes has nothing to do with this disease. Does it? Can it go up the arm to the shoulder? I have 100's of questions but, can't find anyone to answer any of them. My surgeon says to "wait and see", well, I don't want to just wait and see I want some answers. Thank you for any help anyone can give to me.

Duduytren~sq~s Disease

I was told today I have DD and I'm feeling a bit af panic. I don't fit the usual pattern looked for in patients. I'm a 52 YO woman, non-drinker with no Nordic family connection (my mom is a master geneologist). I have it in both hands, with my right hand most involved. The tender nodule is between my pinky and ring finger and I'm already having difficulty straightening out my pinky. I thought the nodules were a manisfestation of Rheumatoid Arthritist but was wrong. I am a type I diabetic though, so there you go. Any communication would be helpful. I've returned to college and am working on a degree in Psychology and typing and using my hands will be necessary.
