Where to get DMSO

As posted by Eunice Reass under "Stopping Dupuytren", I am interested in trying DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) salve on my dupuytrens. My problem is I live in New York City and my veterinarian said that they do not have it because they only deal with domestic animals, and DMSO is used on horses and farm animals. I received a prescription for it from my primary care doctor, but now I can't find out where I can get it. Does anyone know of a mail-order place where I could obtain DMSO? Any help would be appreciated.

dmso

Try a nutrition store like GNC. Also some drug stores carry it. It's actually an industrial chemical. No prescription required.

I get DMSO at the local farmers coop. It is commonly used in veterinary medicine and there is no prescription required. I had surgery on my left hand because of accelerated contractures. Wish I had thought of trying DMSO first. Am using it on the nodes in right hand and it seems to be working. I can see some reduction in their size.
A word of caution: DMSO is an extremely effective solvent. Be certain your hands are free of all foreign substances, including soap. Whatever is on your hands will go in with the DMSO!!!

Charlie,
Isn't DMSO simply a carrying agent? Are you using it
to aid another product in dermal penetration?

Dear ~dq~Concerned~dq~

Dear "Concerned"

The problem is, the "You people", as you call them, are ALREADY ON FIRE. Otherwise they would not be on this site searching high and low for solutions. Please help us out with concrete data refuting the information presented
on web sites such as:

dmso.org

And the work of Doctor Stanley Jacob (http://www.dmso.org/subLevels/stanley.htm)

Rather than making what must be considered an "inflammatory" remark, help point us in the right direction.
