Derek,
There is an unbelieveable amount of information on the web.
Go to Dr. Eaton's website and follow all of the links and you will have what you need.

Your statement, "yet it is the norm in Europe.", is not correct. Surgery (limited fasciectomy) is still the preferred treatment in Europe if measured by number of procedures.

Any poor NA results??

I am reasonably new to the forum and have been scanning the messages for anyone who has experienced a poor result from NA. Are there any? If so, what happened? Are there any downside risks to NA?

Also, if one has the NA treatment and does not have a good result can surgery be subsequently considered? In other words, does a choice to have NA impact on surgical options?

I am a Canadian and I am considering an NA procedure in France or Switzerland. Can anyone tell me the approximate costs of the procedures? The total time away (i.e. time between sessions, etc.? Anything else to know when planning to travel for something like this?

All responses appreciated.

John

Go Polar?

NA has no impact on the success of subsequent Traditional Invasive Surgery. However, open surgery can negatively impact subsequent NA. For this reason I believe NA should always be attempted first. In the few cases where NA is not effective, surgery, as a backup solution, is always available.

Forum Friends: Isn't there a Canadian who does NA so John doesn't have to go Polar?
