Surgery for thumb.

I had surgery for Dupuytren's between my thumb and index finger as well as for Carpal Tunnel. It is less than two weeks, the stitches are not out yet, and the hand therapist has me doing light hand therapy. My thumb has gained eighty plus percent of the movement that was lost and my hand is feeling great. The small amount of limit on my thumb movement seems to be caused by the pull of the stitches. This pilot is already doing work with his hands on his hobby and expects to be back flying in a week.

Surgery

Good to hear your positive experience. Mine was positive also. It has been almost a year for me and my finger/hand is as good as before I had DC. The therapy, whether you do it on your own or with a therapist is really inportant. I just had two visits to the therapist and did the rest on my own. I really worked the fist/finger to keep the scar tissue loose.
