The Definitive Authority

Everyone on this Forum owes thanks to Kristen and Bill for making this article available here. It is a "Must Read" for anyone with our shared malady.

Eaton: "......physicians should never accept their *own* knowledge and training as the *final* answer."

We all know that in the case of Dupuytren's and NA, CHS most certainly have.

Eaton gets huge kudos for listening to Betsey and viewing Walt's NA video in 2003. Quite a few other CHS could have done what Eaton did (including my own CHS) and become the hero Eaton has become. But non did. Also, assuming one is willing to take Eaton as the definitive authority on the subject, his words effectively end *all* debate as to the superiority of NA over OS in terms of safety: Less Nerve Damage, Residual Swelling and RSD. End of story.

The jury is still out concerning an anticipated higher rate of recurrence with NA, and will be for some time.
