I never hear anyone talk about swelling on the hand. My finger is progressing fast now, and with it pain and swelling on the hand at the base of the finger, above the cord. Massage of the hand and finger helps for a bit but it does return. The finger has also enlarged. The pain is in the hand , and the finger.
