Re: 80% improvement from enzyme injections after 5 painful years of plantar fibroma
I see Dr Davis is located in Texas? I would very much like to pursue this form of treatment. I live in Minnesota. Does anyone know of other physicians who do hyaluronidase injections?

Hello Nancy P,
If you have not done so already, I would suggest contacting Dr.Davis' office and ask if he can refer you to anyone in your area.
I think Ida's experience with this treatment speaks volumes.
Best to you, Nan

Re: 80% improvement from enzyme injections after 5 painful years of plantar fibroma
Hi Ida,
I’m suffering a great deal from a plantar fibroma, it recently started hurting even by mere seating. I’m very close to decide and try the enzyme injections. Haven’t done any treatment yet other than try all possible orthotics.
Thank you so much for the very detailed writing of your experience.
It has been a while since your treatment, is it still good? Did you maybe need additional enzyme injections?

Re: 80% improvement from enzyme injections after 5 painful years of plantar fibroma
Hello all, this is my first time posting here.
I started developing plantar fibromas a little over a year ago at age 40. I now have one prominent lesion in each foot. I've been to a good podiatrist who basically told me what a lot of people with this condition hear – namely to forget about surgical excision. Which leaves the wonderful world of conservative treatments.
Dr. Davis seems to have a lot of experience treating the condition and has gone through the trouble to create a whole web site on Ledderhose disease. Notably, it makes bold claims on decreasing the size of the lesions through enzyme injections. There appear to be many patient accounts of success floating around. However, I have yet to see a single before/after photo showing any reduction in the size of plantar fibromas, whether from enzymes or any other treatment. Has anybody here ever seen any photographic evidence? I want to believe enzymes could work, but I also wonder why there is no clear evidence, and why such an effective treatment would not have gained traction with other podiatrists.
Have a great day!

Re: 80% improvement from enzyme injections after 5 painful years of plantar fibroma
Dr Davis has a dedicated Facebook group on Ledderhose. I have seen before and after photos on there posted by patients. Have you taken a look? He also shares his procedure with other physicians, mainly in the US, but if I recall correctly some places elsewhere in the world. He has posted on here in the past and may respond but regularly answers questions on the Facebook group.

Thanks for the response! I don't use Facebook so am currently unable to view the photos, but it's interesting to know there is photographic evidence out there. The enzyme treatment does seem like an interesting possibility.
