I have had DD in both hands for a few years (open surgery on both) and in last month have fast developed LD in one foot. Both feet are in the tingling stage. Is it OK for me to start taking anti-depressants, or is there a possibility they could accelerate growth? Is there anything I should be doing or taking during this active growth stage, like massaging my feet or taking NSAIDs?

I'm seeing my GP tomorrow, but am pretty sure she is not up to speed with DD and LD.

I would think that Dupuytren's being an immune system disorder is just one of several theories, not really backed up by much evidence, more by similarities to other diseases that might be related to autoimmune disorders. If Dupuytren's is triggered by micro-traumas in the hand (another theory ...) then the related healing process might involve white blood cells. But I wouldn't expect a immediate relation between white blood cells and Dupuytren's.

This disease supposedly is an immune system disorder .... can Dupuytrens cause a low White Blood Cell count or visa versa ?
